About Us
Riverview Rescues was founded by Laura Pelkey, in the summer of 2021. After many years in rescue, Laura decided she wanted more than what she was getting from fostering and volunteering with other rescues and incorporated the non-profit under the name 13105326 Canada Association. Riverview Rescues is an all-breed rescue that focuses on rescuing animals in need, rehabbing them in safe and enriching environments, and rehoming them to forever homes where they'll never have to be rehomed again. We take in dogs and cats with behavioural needs, all ages, and medical cases. We accept owner surrenders, and rescue transfers, and we also aid northern communities to assist in their dog overpopulation. Our intakes are decided on by our foster's availability and capabilities, and we couldn't do it without our amazing volunteers who open their homes to dogs and cats in need.
Riverview Rescues is 100% volunteer-run, and our funds come from donations, fundraising, and adoption fees.

Riverview Rescues works with many different rescues to accomplish life-saving goals, and we couldn't do the work we do alone.
